My Story

Two years ago, John Paul O’Connor took on a special challenge to support Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer Support House after his mom and sister battled cancer. This year, he is joined by Lorraine Sebestova in a heartfelt mission to raise funds not only for Recovery Haven but also for a palliative care suite in the Cashel Ward for children at University Hospital Kerry (UHK).

Lorraine knows the importance of this cause all too well—she lost her little girl, Lily, in November 2024 to a rare cancer and experienced first-hand the critical supports that parents & families need at this time.

Together, John Paul and Lorraine are inviting everyone to come out on May 3rd to climb Carrauntoohil for Cancer in Lily's memory. Join them in supporting these two incredibly worthy causes and help make a difference in the lives of families who need it most.
